I run Yoga retreats over weekends around the year. Forthcoming retreats are following:
The construction of Willersley Castle in began in 1790, commissioned by Sir Richard Arkwright, the great industrialist who developed the Water Frame which revolutionised the cotton milling industry in this country and all around the world. In 1791 a fire broke out causing severe damage to part of the interior of the Castle, a major setback in construction. The damage was repaired, but sadly Arkwright died in 1792 before completion of the building. His son, also named Richard, moved into Willersley Castle with his family in 1796 and the family continued to live there until 1922. Located at the beginning of the Peak District it offers fabulous views, walks and location in the historic village of Cromford near Matlock Bath.
My Yoga Retreat will be located in the Mews and will involve yoga, meditation, mindfulness and yoga nidra. I can also offer Bowen therapy over the weekend. The cost is £295 (paid 1 month before), discounted to £280 for an early bird booing (paid 2 months before). If you have been to one of my retreats before there is a discounted price of £255. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is needed to confirm your place. All meals from Friday evening through to lunch on Sunday are included.
Wherever possible we will practice yoga outside, there are 60 acres of grounds for us to explore/use. The Mews has a lovely room which we would have sole use of for the whole weekend for the yoga, the meals will be within the castle with our own dining room, food will be vegetarian.
The swimming pool will be open from 7.30am-8.30pm, and is very peaceful and you can often enjoy sole use.
The Willersley Castle has a very interesting history, once used as a maternity hospital in the 2nd World War, have a look at their website.
Single/double/twin on-suite rooms are available. Reduced fee available for non yoga partners sharing a room who are welcome to join in on the walks.
